Case study: Terracotta – Mineral salt marks

This terracotta floor had had a persistent leak underneath it causing white mineral salts to surface.

Once the leak had been fixed and the floor dried out for six months, we were brought in to restore it.

We damp tested the terracotta to ensure it was fully dry and then removed the mineral salts using a traditional method.
